I’ve fallen well behind in making posts about my original, non-seasonal illustrations on this blog, and I’ve decided it was time to correct this. But rather than making individual posts for each illustration, I decided to make one long post with all of them together. So here they are, from oldest to newest. And yes, these are merely teaser images. The majority of my illustrations contain some degree of nudity, so if you want to see the full images, you will have to visit my pixiv gallery. 😊
New Heroine Alert: Jecki Lon from “The Acolyte”
When I saw the trailer for The Acolyte, the new Star Wars show from Disney+, I can’t say I was terribly excited by it. It looked mildly interesting, like most of the Star Wars content Disney churns out these days, but nothing more than that. Then I saw a picture of an upcoming Hasbro figure from this new series: Jecki Lon, a half alien Jedi-in-training, with pale skin. “She looks cool”, I thought to myself, so I watched the trailer once again to get a better look at her. Unfortunately, she’s only briefly visible a couple of times in the trailer, but at least you can hear her remark “What is that?”, just before an enemy attack.
Not satisfied with this, I went off to look for more info on Jecki Lon, and this was when I found out something that I found very interesting: she is being played by none other than Dafne Keen! 😆 With all the pasty white make-up she has on, she is very hard to recognise, but watching the trailer for a third time, I can see it clearly is her. I’ve been a fan of Ms. Keen ever since I saw her in Logan, and I thought she was great in His Dark Materials, where she played Lyra Belacqua, the series’ protagonist. So now that I am aware of her involvement in The Acolyte, I am certainly a lot more inclined to check it out. That is, of course, assuming that Jecki Lon is a central character in it. It’ll be a real bummer if she ends up perishing within the first couple of episodes. 😬
The first two episodes of The Acolyte are due to premiere on Disney+ in June.

Here is my final illustration for this year, and it is of course my customary illustration for the coming year. As you may be aware, 2024 will be the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac, so I present to you an ethereal forest dragon (and the maiden who they serve, as a bonus 😋).
Maybe 2024 will be a happy one, maybe it won’t, but let’s hope that at least it’ll be better than 2023 has been. 😊

Christmas time is here, and that means it’s also time for my traditional Christmas-themed illustration. For the second year in a row, I’ve ended up drawing something a little naughty, so if you want to see the proper image, you’ll have to visit my pixiv gallery. Anyway, I hope everybody reading this has a happy holiday season, but please do spare a thought for all those in this world who are suffering terribly at present.
